Sheri Dew. For me, she’s up there with Joan of Arc and Mallory Everton on my list of women I admire.
This book was amazing. For me it was inspiring and comforting. I think the main reason I got so attached to this book is because I’m Relief Society president this semester and I’ll still continue in this calling next semester, too. I felt overwhelmed in the beginning because I had no idea how to be a Relief Society president and truly lead a group of girls.
No One Can Take Your Place is all about how we are leaders in the last day. It talks about how we are all individuals and have our own unique purposes that no one can complete except for us. Sister Dew also gives a lot of suggestions on how we can maintain out integrity and testimony. I really wish I could have underlined things, but this was a copy from the library, so that wasn’t an option. This is definitely a book I want to add to my personal collection, though, so I can reread it over and over.
This is a great book for everyone in general, but I would especially recommend it to anyone who has a leadership position. I’ve had this book checked out for almost two months, so my reading has been sporadic and not super consistent, which I’m a little upset about. However, I’m super thankful that I did finish this amazing book – even though it’s two days overdue and I owe the library a small fine. 🙂
Also, there were so many amazing quotes from this book that I couldn’t pick just one. Just go out and read the whole thing. You won’t regret it.
